Today we said goodbye to our Impala, Bev (Justin has a propensity to name his cars). She has been good to us until about a month ago, right before we went on vacation. We were coming home after a night out with some friends and she started acting up just as we were getting off the freeway. Luckily she made it home and Justin took her over to the mechanic to take a look. He said that she blew the intake valve and head gasket and that coolant was getting into the engine. Practical interpretation, it would cost more to fix the car then she is worth, especially with all her other problems. Therefore, we decided it would be better for everyone if we bought a new car and sent Bev to a better home, were she could be taken care of. After calling around to junkyards and being insulted by their low offers, Justin decided to try and sell her on Craig's list. Tonight, after lots of emails, we had a buyer. Brenda and her husband came down with their suburban and trailer ready to take her away. We are sad to see her go, but I don't think our neighbors are, she has been sitting on the street for a month. Here are the parting photos we took:

Bye Bev, good luck at your new home.
